1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in Burnley. This role can be full-time or part-time, offering flexibility to suit your schedule. While formal qualifications are desirable, experience working in a school setting is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting children's learning and development. Experience with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) or SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) is highly desirable. You will work closely with teachers to support students both in class and through one-to-one interventions, helping them reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting learning activities in the classroom

• Providing 1:1 or small group support for students

• Assisting with behaviour management and pastoral care

• Preparing resources and supporting lesson delivery

Requirements:

• Previous school experience essential

• Experience with SEND/SEMH desirable

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Flexible and adaptable approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
