We are recruiting for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Burnley on a full-time, long-term basis starting Monday.

This role is based in a Year 5 class and will involve providing 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs. You will be required to follow and implement the child's EHCP, ensuring strategies and provision are delivered consistently.

In the morning, you will support small intervention groups. In the afternoon, you will work as a general class Teaching Assistant. The class includes some challenging characters, so strong behaviour management skills and confidence in maintaining clear expectations are essential.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience supporting SEN pupils, ideally in KS2

  • Confidence following an EHCP

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • A proactive, patient and resilient approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
