Full-Time 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Year 3 (SEN Support)

Are you a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing individual to join a welcoming primary school in Burnley, providing 1:1 support for a child in Year 3 with Global Development Delay.
About the Role:
Working closely with a non-verbal pupil, supporting their learning, communication, and emotional development.
Providing consistent personal care, ensuring the child's comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.
Following EHCP targets and working alongside the class teacher and SENDCo to implement tailored strategies.
Using patience, empathy, and positive reinforcement to build trust and engagement.
Creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment, helping the child access the curriculum at their level.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children with SEN, particularly Global Development Delay, Autism, or similar developmental needs.
Confident supporting non-verbal communication (e.g., PECs, visual aids, or alternative communication methods).
Comfortable with personal care as part of daily responsibilities.
Calm, nurturing, and able to build strong relationships through consistency and positivity.
Able to work independently while also collaborating with the wider staff team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
