📣 Job Advert: 1:1 Home Tutor - Merseyside (SEND & EHCP Support)

Hourly Rate: £30-£35
Hours: 6-10 hours per week (within school hours)
Locations: Across Merseyside - including Sefton, Knowsley & Liverpool

We are seeking experienced and compassionate 1:1 Home Tutors to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEND) and Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs) who are currently not attending school.

This role involves delivering tailored, high‑quality tuition in the home environment during school hours to help students re-engage with education and make meaningful progress.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition aligned with the student's EHCP targets.
• Plan and deliver engaging sessions based on ability, needs, and learning goals.
• Monitor, track, and record student progress.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and local authorities.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support SEMH, ASD, ADHD, anxiety, or other SEND needs.
• Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment in the home.
• Liaise with education coordinators, schools, and parents where needed.

📚 Essential Requirements

• Experience working with SEND learners in a school, tutoring, or intervention role.
• Strong knowledge of EHCP processes and individual support strategies.
• Ability to work independently and manage personalised learning.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (ESSENTIAL).
• Reliable, professional, and committed to student wellbeing and progress.
