Meet the Team - Kaylah Henderson

We recently caught with Recruitment Consultant, Kaylah Henderson, to discover more about her role at Spencer Clarke Group and what motivates her at work.

How long have you worked at Spencer Clarke Group?

I have worked at Spencer Clarke Group since November 2021, I am really enjoying it here!

What markets do you specialise in?

I specialise in clinical recruitment for NHS Trusts nationwide, so my role involves me helping the trusts find the best people to join their team!

What do you love most about what you do?

I love that I get to speak to loads of different people and that everyone gets on really well with each other in the office. We can have a laugh which makes it exciting to come in to work! Every day is different which means work is never boring.

What motivates you at work?

I am motivated by wanting to provide a good service for our candidates. Working in recruitment is very rewarding and I love knowing that I have helped somebody secure their dream job!

How would you describe working at Spencer Clarke Group?

The team here at Spencer Clarke Group are amazing and we are like one big family!

There is always something to look forward to outside of work as there is a good balance between having fun and working hard. I also love the fact that we have the dogs who join us in the office!

Tell us about your career path so far

I was at Blackpool Sixth Form for 2 years and completed 3 A Levels in Maths, Business and Economics. Whilst studying, I had a part time job working as a waitress where I was able to develop my soft skills.

After Sixth Form, all of my friends decided to go to University but I declined the offers I received as I knew I wanted to start my career early.

Although it may have been a risky decision, I think Spencer Clarke Group is the perfect company to help me succeed in my career.

How would your colleagues describe you?

My colleagues would describe me as bubbly, witty and kind!

Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?

Outside of work you are most likely to find me in the pub with my friends and boyfriend.

I also love to go to Manchester because there is a good atmosphere for shopping!

Tell us something we’d never guess about you!

I used to do a lot of swimming and I was even trained by an Olympic gold medalist!

What’s next for you at Spencer Clarke Group?

I am going to focus on working towards hitting my monthly targets and as I progress, I would like to take on more responsibilities within the company.

One day I might even manage my own team which would be amazing!

What’s your favourite film?

Legally blonde – it’s my childhood favourite!

Where’s the best place you’ve traveled to?

Cancun in Mexico – the beaches were so pretty!

What advice would you give to your young self?

I would tell my younger self that all the hard work would be worth it and not to care as much about what other people think.

Have you ever met anyone famous?

No, sadly I haven’t.

What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?

A bottle of jager, some sunglasses and my phone.

Do you have any pets?

Yes – I have two imperial Shitzhu’s called Lexie and Chika. I also used to have two hamsters!

Do you have any hidden talents?

I can make a W shape with my tongue – it’s weird, I know.

What’s the best gig you’ve been to?

Parklife –  it was was amazing!

What animal is your spirit animal?

Probably a sloth because I’m always sleepy.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Eating pizza with vinegar!
