Meet Mike.

Hi, I’m Mike, Founder and Managing Director of Spencer Clarke Group.

Since opening our doors in 2017, I’ve been responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the business. This includes identifying new opportunities, driving performance, shaping our culture and strengthening client partnerships.

What started as a team of three has grown into a workforce of more than 65, and watching that journey unfold has been incredible. As an ambitious person, I wanted to create an agency where exceptional service was matched with a vibrant and rewarding culture. A place where people genuinely love what they do. Our culture sits at the heart of everything and I’m extremely proud of the specialist consultants and support teams who consistently go above and beyond.

Over the years, we’ve achieved some remarkable milestones. Highlights include being named Best Temporary Recruitment Agency and Best Public and Third Sector Recruitment Agency at the 2025 Recruiter Awards, as well as Best Company to Work For (up to 100 employees) at the 2025 REC Awards. In 2024 we were also crowned Recruitment Agency of the Year. These achievements reflect the high standards we set for ourselves every single day.

I’m equally proud of our commitment to giving back. We volunteer at our local foodbank, run regular fundraising initiatives, donate food packages and uniforms to local schools and, in 2024, we even built a playground for a primary academy in Blackpool. Supporting our community is a huge part of who we are.

Outside of work, I’m a big football and golf fan. Most weekends you’ll find me spending time with my partner, our young son and our sprocker spaniels, Opal and Luna, who are adored by the whole team.
