Lauren Wood
Associate Consultant
Hi, I’m Lauren!
I’m an Associate Consultant at Spencer Clarke Group, specialising in education recruitment. It’s my job to match Teachers and Teaching Assistants with suitable roles in SEND schools across Lancashire, a role I take great pride in.
Before joining Spencer Clarke Group, I worked closely with Teachers to plan educational trips for students all over the world, delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned travel experiences. This really opened my eyes to the different career paths associated with education.
A key part of my job now is to support candidates at every stage of their job search and ensure they find a school where they can make a positive difference to learning. I’m also focused on helping candidates achieve their long-term career goals and being part of a process that can positively impact someone’s career is incredibly rewarding.
In 2025, Spencer Clarke Group was awarded Best Temporary Recruitment Agency at the Recruiter Awards. It was this achievement that encouraged me to take the leap of faith and join this brilliant team.
My mission is to consistently exceed targets, continue building strong client and candidate relationships and develop my industry expertise.
Outside of work, I love exploring new countries. My favourite trip so far has been Iceland where I even saw an active volcano erupt from the plane!
