We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Social and Emotional Intervention Lead to join a welcoming and supportive school team.
In this rewarding role, you will work closely with pupils who require additional social, emotional, and behavioural support, delivering targeted interventions that help them build confidence, resilience, and positive relationships.
The Role
As the Social and Emotional Intervention Lead, you will:
- Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions focused on social, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
- Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs to improve engagement, attendance, and learning.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and staff.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENDCo, safeguarding team, and external agencies to provide effective support.
- Monitor, record, and evaluate pupil progress, adapting interventions where necessary.
- Promote positive behaviour strategies and contribute to creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Help pupils develop emotional regulation, resilience, confidence, and social skills.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Is patient, empathetic, and resilient.
- Can work independently while also being a strong team player.
- Has experience delivering interventions or mentoring programmes (desirable).
- Has knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection responsibilities.
- Holds relevant qualifications or experience within education, youth work, counselling, psychology, or a related field (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
