Spencer Clarke Group are working with a supportive primary school in Bebington who are seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils within their specialist SEND Base on a full-time basis.
This role involves supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory needs and other complex learning needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes in a structured and nurturing environment.
The school are looking for a reliable and committed individual who can provide consistency and build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.
The Role:
- Support pupils within a specialist SEND Base.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs.
- Assist pupils with Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties and additional learning needs.
- Support behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.
- Work closely with the class teacher to deliver adapted learning activities.
- Encourage pupil independence, confidence and engagement.
- Help maintain a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.
- Liaise effectively with teachers, support staff and external professionals where required.
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
- Experience supporting children with SEND within an educational, care or support setting.
- Knowledge of Autism, ADHD and communication needs.
- Understanding of behaviour management and safeguarding practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
