We're working with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Blackpool seeking a Humanities Teacher to join their team on a long-term maternity cover from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach across KS3 and KS4 in a supportive and forward-thinking environment, where staff are encouraged to collaborate, share ideas, and contribute to a positive school culture.
The role will involve delivering a range of Humanities subjects, with a focus on your specialism (History, Geography or Religious Education). The department is well-organised, with clear schemes of work in place, allowing you to step in confidently and maintain continuity for students. You'll be joining a collaborative team that is focused on engaging learners, building critical thinking skills, and supporting strong academic progress.
Behaviour across the school is well-managed, and leadership provides consistent support, ensuring you can focus on delivering high-quality lessons from day one. What we're looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Humanities at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)
- Specialism in History, Geography or RE (desirable)
- Strong classroom management and the ability to quickly build rapport with students
- A passion for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons
- Commitment to maintaining continuity and high standards of teaching and learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
