Housing Solutions Officer

We are seeking a Housing Solutions Officer for a Local Authority Client based in West London.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting housing assessments, issuing s.184 decisions, developing Personal Housing Plans, providing frontline triage services, and maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders.

About the role:

You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

• Develop and implement Personal Housing Plans for clients.
• Conduct comprehensive housing assessments to evaluate applicants' eligibility, housing needs, and priority status.
• Issue timely and accurate s.184 decisions, ensuring compliance with relevant housing legislation and policies.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients, colleagues, and external agencies, fostering positive relationships and ensuring accurate information exchange.
• Provide responsive frontline triage services, addressing resident queries, concerns, and emergency housing needs promptly and effectively.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Previous experience in a similar housing solutions or housing support role.
• Knowledge of housing regulations, including s.184 decisions and Personal Housing Plans.
• Experience trouble shooting resident queries face to face, arranging appointments.
• Experience working for a local authority.

What’s on offer:

Salary: £24per hour

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday – Friday, 36 hours per week
