What is a Cover Supervisor?

You won't be expected to plan lessons, but you will play a vital role in keeping students engaged, on task, and working in a structured learning environment.
This role offers invaluable classroom experience, helping you build confidence in behaviour management and develop a strong understanding of school life-making it an ideal stepping stone into teacher training such as a PGCE.

  • Delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain focused and engaged
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Creating a positive and productive learning environment
  • Responding to student questions and providing basic support where needed
  • Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson progress and any issues

What's on offer:

  • Competitive daily rate
  • Flexible work to suit your schedule (day-to-day, short-term, and long-term roles available)
  • Opportunities to work across a variety of secondary schools
  • Supportive school environments with clear behaviour policies
  • Ongoing support and guidance
  • Excellent experience for those considering a career in teaching
  • Bespoke training provided

What we're looking for:

  • Strong communication skills and a confident, professional approach
  • A calm, organised manner with the ability to manage a classroom effectively
  • A proactive and adaptable attitude
  • Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
  • A genuine interest in education and supporting student development

If you're looking to build experience in education, develop your confidence in the classroom, and take the first step towards a teaching career, this role is a brilliant opportunity to get started.
