Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs?
Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for a school in Preston. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
You will play an important role in helping pupils feel supported, engaged and confident throughout the school day.

The role may include:

• 
  Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• 
  Helping pupils to engage with learning activities
• 
  Supporting communication, emotional regulation and social development
• 
  Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
• 
  Helping to create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment

We are looking for somebody with:

• 
  Experience supporting children or young people
• 
  A patient, resilient and positive approach
• 
  Strong communication skills
• 
  A genuine interest in SEND education
• 
  Experience with autism, SEMH, behavioural needs or complex needs is desirable

Relevant experience may come from schools, care settings, youth work, residential support, sports coaching or similar roles.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
