Title: 1:1 SEMH HLTA

Salary: £70 - £85 per day

Location: Macclesfield

SEMH Teaching Assistant

Mon-Fri 5 days a week

* 8:30am - 3:30pm *

We are looking to recruit inspirational an SEMH Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work 1:1 with a KS3 student. The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will be working on a 1:1 basis at the students home or at a local location to their home.

This is an excellent opportunity for anybody wanting to build their experience working in a School, alongside students with Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH). Trials will be offered to successful candidates ASAP.

Your role as an SEMH Teaching Assistant will involve:

  • Supporting a student with SEMH.
  • Assisting with curriculum provided by the school.
  • Managing the student’s behavior and engagement
  • Recording activities, attendance etc.

You should have:

  • A minimum of a level 4 Teaching Assistant Qualification or experience working as a HLTA that can be referenced.
  • Some experience working with SEND children and/or support worker/ healthcare assistant or having completed further education around Psychology or mental health
  • Enthusiastic and friendly approach with a resilient attitude is desired
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Online Update Service (or be prepared to obtain one for a fee).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
