Meet Tamara.

Hi, I’m Tamara!

I’m a Recruitment Support Officer at Spencer Clarke Group, responsible for ensuring educators and school support staff are fully compliant before joining a new school.

Before I joined the team, I worked as a Site Coordinator for factories and warehouses and it’s in this role that I learnt about recruitment. I was then lucky enough to spend several years working in accounts management and HR. Working in HR was ideal for me as I wanted to spend plenty of time with my family and pursue a healthy work-life balance. I’m now at Spencer Clarke Group, focussing on the compliance side of recruitment, and I couldn’t be happier.

The career I’m pursuing today gives me the opportunity to support educators at important stages of their profession and I love being able to put a smile on their face as they embark on a rewarding new role. 

We’re very proud to be APSCo+ accredited which means schools can always trust that we take safeguarding very seriously. It’s an incredibly important part of my job and our dedication to this was one of the reasons we were awarded Highly Commended at the 2025 Recruiter Awards for Most Effective Compliance Operation.

I love learning, which is something I make a conscious effort to do everyday. In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies, playing games online, spending time with my family and looking after my dog, Mazikeen and cat, Shadow!
