Position Overview: As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in nurturing young minds, providing an engaging and stimulating learning environment for your students. The school is committed to maintaining high academic standards while fostering a positive and caring atmosphere. This position is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking for a supportive environment to further develop their skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring the welfare and well-being of students.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support as necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Engage and communicate with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching in a primary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, particularly Year 2.
  • Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
