Teaching Assistant - SEN School (SEMH Focus)

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive Special Educational Needs (SEN) School in Bolton. The school provides a nurturing environment for pupils who require additional support with their emotional and behavioural development.
Your Role:
Support students with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, accessible learning activities
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage personal growth and confidence
Help create a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to promote progress and wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, autism, or additional needs
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for helping every child reach their potential
(Desirable) A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or Team Teach / de-escalation training
