STEM Teacher - SEMH & Alternative Provision
- £150 - £250 per day
- Northumberland
- Contract
We are working with a specialist SEMH provision seeking a STEM Teacher who can bring energy, creativity and structure into the classroom this September.
This role is about much more than delivering content. It's about helping young people rediscover their potential in Maths, Science and Technology through hands-on, engaging and highly differentiated learning.
Students within this setting often present with barriers to learning linked to SEMH needs, meaning the right teacher will be someone who can build strong relationships while maintaining consistent boundaries.
What you'll be doing:
- Teaching STEM subjects across KS3 and KS4 (adapted curriculum)
- Planning engaging, practical lessons that re-engage learners
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Building trust with students who may have had disrupted education
- Working closely with a skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team
What we're looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience in SEMH, SEND, AP or similar settings - we welcome applications from mainstream teachers looking to move into SEND.
- Ability to deliver engaging, differentiated STEM lessons
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
This is an opportunity to make a genuine, measurable difference every single day.
