Senior Estates Surveyor

Spencer Clarke Group are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Senior Estates Surveyor on an initial 4-month contract.

We are looking to speak to experienced Chartered Estates Surveyors, with significant experience of asset valuations, estate management, negotiation and provision of professional property advice and transactions, who have ideally worked for a Local Authority previously.

Contract Details

Pay Scale – INSIDE IR35 – £34.76 per hour (the hourly rate is negotiable, so please still get in touch if you work to a higher rate)

Location – Remote working, with occasional site visits required around Nottingham

Contract Length – 4 months, with possibility of extension

The Key duties of the role include:

-          Supporting the Principal Surveyors and the wider Directorate in driving the Council’s corporate asset management priorities to improve the performance of the Council’s property portfolio.  This includes providing professional property advice and expertise to colleagues across the organisation and supporting the Council’s property disposal, acquisition and asset valuation programme and wider regeneration ambitions.

-          Undertaking estate management duties and deal with day-to-day estate management issues with respect to an identified portfolio of Council assets (that includes Associated Partnerships/Joint Ventures and Charitable Trusts).  These duties including recovery of arrears, undertaking inspections, tenant liaison, asset management, negotiation with occupiers, purchasers and developers
