Science Teacher - Southport
Start: January 2026 (or earlier if available)
Pay: To scale (£170-£250 per day DOE)
Contract: Until the end of the academic year

Spencer Clarke Group are working closely with a well-regarded secondary school in Southport who are seeking a committed Science Teacher to join their team from January, with the option to start earlier for the right candidate.

This is a full-time role covering the remainder of the academic year, teaching Science across KS3 and KS4. The school is looking for someone who can inspire students, deliver high-quality lessons, and contribute positively to the wider school community.

The Role:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons

• Teach across KS3-KS4 (specialism welcomed but not essential)

• Plan, mark and assess in line with school policies

• Create a supportive and purposeful learning environment

• Participate in departmental meetings and wider school responsibilities

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Experience teaching Science at secondary level

• Strong behaviour management and classroom practice

• Ability to start in January or sooner

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
