School Support Worker - Specialist Provisions (Liverpool)

🕒 Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (08:30am - 15:30pm), Term Time Only
💰 Pay: £106 - £115 per day (dependent on experience)


About the Role:
We are recruiting compassionate, proactive School Support Workers to join a range of specialist SEND and SEMH provisions across the Liverpool area.

In this rewarding full-time role, you will support children and young people with a variety of additional needs, helping them access learning, regulate emotions, and feel safe and supported in school. You may work on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, or provide general classroom support alongside teachers and pastoral staff.

This role is ideal for individuals who are patient, resilient, and passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEND and SEMH needs throughout the school day

  • Provide 1:1, small group, and general classroom support

  • Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional support

  • Help implement SEND strategies, behaviour plans, and individual learning plans

  • Encourage independence, communication, and engagement

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and other support staff

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment


Requirements:

  • Must have 24 months of employment references with no large gaps in employment

  • Must hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (UDS) or be willing to apply and pay for one

  • Experience working with young people, or in care/support roles, is desirable

  • A patient, calm, and resilient approach to supporting additional needs
