Job description

Spencer Clarke Group are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hampshire to assist with the appointment of a Risk & Compliance Manager on an initial 6-month contract, which is highly likely to be extended to an ongoing placement.


We are looking to speak to experienced Risk & Compliance Managers, with extensive experience of working in a lead role at management level within the compliance & maintenance sector, preferably within a medium/large social housing organisation or Local Authority previously.


Contract Details

Pay Scale – INSIDE IR35 – £25-£32 per hour (the hourly rate is potentially negotiable, so please still get in touch if you work to a higher rate)

Location – Remote Working, with visits to the office required once every two weeks

Contract Length – 6-months, with a possibility of extension


The purpose of the role is;

• To be accountable for the Council’s building health & safety compliance, servicing & inspection across all the Council’s domestic and corporate portfolios.

• To lead and operationally manage the Council’s property compliance strategies ensuring they are aligned to the Council’s Business Plans and Asset Management Strategies on property management.

• To ensure effective property compliance, servicing, maintenance & inspection delivery that meets the Council’s statutory, regulatory and policy requirements and is integrated with the wider Property Division functions.

• To be responsible for effective and efficient contract management of the Council’s internal and external compliance delivery contractors.
