Job Title: Project Manager (City Development)

Location: Merseyside, Local Authority

Assignment Duration: 6-months

 

As part of its ongoing improvement journey, our client, a local authority in Merseyside, is initiating a comprehensive improvement program for its City Development functions. This encompassing initiative involves enhancements in Planning, Highways, Investment, and Development. To steer this transformative journey, the Council is seeking a dynamic and skilled Project Manager to contribute to the successful execution of improvement projects within the program. The projects span across organizational design, staff training and development, office accommodation, and business planning.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage improvement projects within the City Development program.
  • Contribute to projects related to the organizational design of City Development functions.
  • Oversee initiatives focused on staff training and development within the City Development departments.
  • Manage projects related to office accommodation, ensuring optimal and efficient workspace for City Development teams.
  • Play a key role in the development and execution of business planning projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success and alignment with broader objectives.
  • Ensure thorough and accurate documentation of project progress, milestones, and outcomes.

 

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in successfully managing improvement projects.
  • Familiarity with City Development functions, including Planning, Highways, Investment, and Development.
  • Experience in contributing to projects related to organizational design.
  • A track record of overseeing staff training and development initiatives.
  • Previous involvement in projects related to office accommodation.
  • Proficiency in contributing to and executing business planning projects.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
