Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Placement Co-Ordinator for a local authority client in Southampton.
In this role, you will coordinate and secure care placements and support packages for vulnerable adults, ensuring timely contracting and close collaboration with social workers, providers, and finance teams.
Duties:
- Source and coordinate care placements by processing referrals and liaising with providers to meet individual needs.
- Create and manage contracts to ensure accurate service records and timely payments to care providers.
- Communicate effectively with social workers, service users, providers, and finance teams to resolve queries and keep everyone informed.
- Maintain records and monitor service availability, supporting reporting and identifying gaps or trends in the care market.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience in adult social care or a related administrative or coordination role, ideally within placements or commissioning.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with practitioners, providers, and vulnerable individuals.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with IT systems like Care Director and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
What's on offer:
Salary: £18ph+
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
