Occupational Therapist (Temporary)
Rate: £16-£20 per hour
3 Month contract
Immediate start pending compliance
- Conducting assessments and providing therapeutic interventions to aid clients in their transition to a happier, healthier life.
- Collaborating with integrated teams of professionals from Health, Social Care, Housing, and voluntary sectors to ensure seamless and comprehensive care.
- Making key recommendations and providing support to Social Workers and Social Care Support Officers.
- Conducting assessments in clients' homes with discretion and empathy, creating a supportive environment.
- Working with 'Discharge to Assess' bed-based care to identify opportunities for clients to return home.
- Communicating effectively with various care facilities such as care homes, crisis, reablement, and domiciliary services to provide beneficial education within their care roles.
- Identifying individuals who require ongoing therapeutic, rehabilitation, or reablement interventions and providing the necessary support.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified and registered Occupational Therapist and HCPC registered.
- Passionate about restoring confidence and independence in individuals.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a solution-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse care facilities.
- Knowledgeable about the role of Occupational Therapy within social care.
- Able to work independently, remaining flexible and decisive in a dynamic environment
