Job Title: Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Location: Rawtenstall

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential: A qualification related to working with children in schools, such as Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Essential: Experience working in a school environment and supporting learning through the national curriculum.
  • Desirable: Additional relevant qualifications or certifications.


  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons, ensuring students are engaged and supported in their learning.
  • Provide one-to-one support for students who require additional assistance.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Support students with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND), ensuring their individual needs are met.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the school environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
