Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential?
Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting Learning Support Mentors to work across a range of mainstream secondary schools across Blackpool & The Fylde Coast. These roles involve supporting students who may require additional guidance, encouragement and intervention to help them engage positively with education.
You could be working with pupils who have:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties
- Mild to moderate learning difficulties
- Behavioural challenges
- Attendance or engagement concerns
As a Learning Support Mentor, you will act as a positive role model, helping students build confidence, resilience and the skills required to succeed both academically and personally.
Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one and small group mentoring support
- Supporting students with emotional wellbeing and engagement
- Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom participation
- Building trusted relationships with young people
- Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams
- Supporting students during lessons, breaktimes and interventions
We're Looking For:
- Experience working with young people in education, youth work, care or mentoring settings
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Patience, empathy and resilience
- A genuine passion for supporting young people
- An understanding of SEND and SEMH needs is desirable

Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
