Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Learning and development officer for a Local Authority Client based in East London.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and ensuring the quality of Learning & Development programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of staff within the Revenues & Benefits and Homelessness Prevention services.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
- Develop and deliver effective Learning & Development programs across all service areas within Revenues & Benefits and Homelessness Prevention.
- Conduct regular training needs analyses to identify skill gaps and training requirements for staff.
- Liaise with Heads of Benefits, Homelessness Prevention, Revenues, and other relevant departments to align training initiatives with service delivery improvements.
- Produce and maintain training materials, workbooks, and manuals for effective learning.
- Assist in preparing and implementing annual training plans to ensure comprehensive training coverage for all staff.
About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Significant experience in training delivery, preferably in a multi-service environment such as call centres, multi-site operations, or project-based settings.
- Strong working knowledge of Homelessness Prevention legislation, Housing/Council Tax Benefits legislation, and related regulations.
- Experience in evaluating learning outcomes and using various techniques to analyse performance and identify learning interventions.
- Experience in handling sensitive issues that may impact service delivery, with a politically sensitive approach.
What's on offer:
Salary: £23+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
