Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Great Harwood

Are you passionate about supporting young learners in their educational journey? We are seeking a dedicated and qualified KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Great Harwood. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing support to our primary school students, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the overall success of our school.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must hold a Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a classroom setting, preferably with KS1 students.
  • Familiarity with the national curriculum and an understanding of the developmental needs of primary school children.
  • Ability to work effectively across all primary year groups.


  • Provide classroom support to the class teacher, assisting in the delivery of engaging and effective lessons.
  • Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning objectives and provide additional support as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of teaching materials and resources.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to address the individual needs of students.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
