We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in a well-established primary school in Chorley. The role is looking to start on a full-time basis after the February half term and will run until the end of the academic year.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and stimulating lessons to children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Supporting children in their learning and development, both individually and in small groups
  • Encouraging a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Providing pastoral care and attending to the personal needs of the children
  • Collaborating with the class teacher to plan and implement activities that promote social, emotional, and intellectual development
  • Assisting with record-keeping and maintaining a tidy and organized classroom

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with young children, ideally within an educational setting
  • A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to supporting children's development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework and an understanding of child development
  • A positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to contribute to the wider school community
