An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Leader within SEND to take up a contract with a London Borough as an EHCP Area Coordinator
Pay Scale – £300 per day – Negotiable depending on experience.
Location – Remote Working.
Contract Length – 6-month agency contract with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate expert knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and have experience managing or supervising a team of EHCP coordinators.
• To ensure that Hackney Education (HE) meets its statutory duties for children and young people aged 0-25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) under the Children’s and Families Act 2014.
• To provide overall management and leadership for the respective team within the Education, Health and Care Planning (EHCP) Team
• Be responsible for the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the duties in the assigned team in relation to EHC assessments and plans as prescribed under of Part 3 of the Children and Families Act 2014. and related legislation
•Ensure and demonstrate robust decision making in the allocation of funding to EHC plans in relation to a demand led budget.
• Contribute to and participate in the development of the EHCP Team in response to the SEND Reform and subsequent guidance, as well as case law and recent good practice guidance.
