An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Client and Accounts Manager to join an accountancy firm in Bridgnorth on a permanent basis. 

As Client and Accounts Manager, you’ll play a vital role in providing services to a wide range of businesses from soler trader, partnerships and limited companies, to larger organisations.

You’ll be someone naturally great with working on your own initiative and being a good team player because the role includes coaching other staff for improved performance and the planning and delivery of assignments.

About the role

Based in Bridgnorth, you will be responsible for: 

  • Planning and delivery of account assignments
  • Planning assignments in conjunction with the partner
  • Calculating and advising on corporate and personal taxation
  • Supervising accounts production staff and reviewing their work
  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities
  • Monitoring your chargeability
  • Coaching other staff for improved performance and technical development
  • Client contact leading to managing a portfolio of clients
  • Assisting with the introduction of new systems within the practice

About you

The ideal candidate for this position must:

  • Be fully ACCA/ACA qualified
  • Have previous experience as an accounts senior
  • Have 5/6 years practice experience
  • Have a working knowledge of QuickBooks/Sage/Xero and Iris
  • Have skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Be self-motivated
  • Have the ability to work on your own initiative and manage workload
  • Be a good team player
  • Be resilient, approachable, flexible, honest and trustworthy
