Job Title: Behavior Support Teaching Assistant

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Behavior Support Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic educational team in Blackburn. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting a positive learning environment and supporting the well-being of students.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children in a school setting is essential.
  • Familiarity with the national curriculum and the ability to support students across various year groups.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with behavioral challenges.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualised behavior plans.
  • Assist in the delivery of lessons, ensuring students are engaged and meeting learning objectives.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to both students and teachers.

Preferred Skills:

  • Flexibility to work with preferred age groups or across all year groups.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Patience and resilience in managing challenging behaviors.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to working within a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
