Job Title: Behavior Support Teaching Assistant

Location: Burnley

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavior Support Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team in Burnley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for supporting students' behavioral and educational needs. If you hold a relevant qualification, have classroom experience, and are committed to making a positive impact on children's lives, we want to hear from you.


  • Provide targeted support to students with behavioral challenges, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement behavior management strategies and interventions.
  • Support individual and small group learning activities, ensuring students' engagement and progress.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of behavior support plans.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.


  • Relevant qualification, such as Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working in a classroom setting with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Ability to adapt to different age groups; you may choose to work with specific year groups or across all year groups.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • A proactive and positive approach to behavior management and support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
