Job Title: Behaviour Mentor - Classroom based
Location: Rochdale
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 15:30, Term Time Only.
Salary: From £106 per day, DOE
About the Role:
Are you experienced in social care or personal care and eager to take your skills into a new, rewarding career path? We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team as a Behaviour Mentor.
In this role, you will work within alternative provisions, providing targeted support to pupils with additional needs. You will play a key role in helping children access learning, develop independence, and feel fully included in school life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, challenging behaviour, and speech and language delays.
- Work 1:1 or in small groups, adapting lessons and creating personalised resources to suit individual learning needs.
- Support pupils during breaks and activities outside the classroom, ensuring inclusion and safety.
- Assist teachers in delivering an engaging and accessible learning experience for all children.
- Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, resilience, and progress.
About You:
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience working in social care, personal care, or similar supportive environments.
- An interest in education and a willingness to learn and develop within a school setting.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trust with children who may face barriers to learning.
- Flexibility and creativity in adapting activities and strategies to meet individual needs.
- A proactive, team-focused approach to supporting pupils, staff, and families.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available later.
