Job description

Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Band 8a Practice Development Lead within the Mental Health Services based at an NHS Trust in Haringey.

Contract – 3 month agency contract with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis. 

Working hours – Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00

Rate of pay: £40+ per hour

Negotiable depending on experience

About the role

The role of the Practice Development Lead is to work closely with Service and Professional leads to ensure that Haringey Community Mental Health Services meets the needs of Haringey residents, as set out in the NHS long term plan. This role will support the delivery of high-quality place-based care by providing expertise and training in a range of areas and work closely with the Head of Nursing and Community Service Leads to ensure the care and treatment provided across all Community Services is of the highest standard.

This will require working closely with Community Service and Professional Leads to support and ensure there are robust systems of governance in place in Community Mental Health Teams and that high quality client led services are being developed and delivered.

You’ll work with Team Managers and Professional Leads to:

  • Ensure CQC compliance and effective clinical governance
  • Ensure the implementation of local and national clinical governance initiatives.
  • Apply and improve clinical governance and risk management systems
  • Participate in the maintenance of quality governance systems and processes across BEH. 
  • Lead on projects to improve service delivery and patient experience.

  • Professional registration is essential (RMN, OT, Social Work)
