Spencer Clarke Group are working closely alongside The NHS to provide them a with an Assistant Management Accountant working remotely on a 3 to 6 month contract.
This is a remote work from home position.
As Assistant Management Accountant, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective Management Accounts service supporting managers and staff across the central NHS England and Improvement directorates to understand, plan and manage their financial position.
They will be responsible for supporting a national Directorate. This will include the production of monthly cost centre reports, variance analysis, forecasting, creation of annual budgets, report-writing and liaising with a variety of stake-holders to ensure that risks and issues affecting financial performance are communicated clearly.
Candidates should be confident in liaising with budget managers, have experience of management accounts, excellent communication skills, good excel skills and be able to use their initiative to solve problems and work as a supportive and efficient team member, with a good attention to detail. A flexible, positive, ’can do’ attitude is required for this role, as it offers an opportunity to help build and shape the managements accounts team and the finance processes of the organisation.
